British Columbia is on the West coast of Canada and boasts two of the country’s top destinations for vacation. Calgary is also famous for the Calgary Tower, which contains a revolving restaurant that provides a nearly 360 degree view of the city. From either Alberta or British Columbia, you can access the Rocky Mountains. In Alberta, Banff is a town nestled in the mountains, and it offers many specialty stores and natural sulphur hot springs. These hot springs are an excellent way to relax.

<i><b>Saskatchewan</b></i>

With both Regina and Saskatoon in the province of Saskatchewan, there are plenty of opportunities for vacation places. This province has many cultural attractions such as museums and national parks. If you plan a trip to Saskatchewan, you may want to consider visiting the Mendel Art Gallery or the Buffalo Pound Provincial Park.

<i><b>Manitoba</b></i>

During the summer months, there are plenty of tourist places to visit in Manitoba. One of the major places to see and enjoy is Minnedosa Lake, which is a popular lake resort and summer hot spot for locals and tourists. There are other lakes and lake resorts throughout the province to enjoy also.

<i><b>Ontario</b></i>

Ontario is one of the hottest places to visit in Canada. Toronto, the largest city in Canada, as well as Ottawa, the capital of the country, both offer impressive tourist destinations to visit. Toronto and its surrounding areas have many stores, museums and of course, the CN Tower. Throughout the southern end of Ontario, there are miles of lake front property along some of the Great Lakes. There are also many different wineries in the southern end of the province, particularly around Niagara on the Lake. Another attraction that you cannot miss in Ontario is Niagara Falls. From Niagara Falls, you can see both the Canadian and United States sides of the falls, which are beautiful day and night.

Most people when considering a trip to Canada often end up going to Ontario to visit these major attractions, as well as many more that reside within the province.

<i><b>Quebec</b></i>

Quebec is a richly historic location to visit, especially throughout Quebec City. Quebec has many attractions to consider visiting and these include many cathedrals and other historic buildings. However, you should keep in mind that the primary language in Quebec is French.

<i><b>New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland</b></i>

These provinces are the maritime provinces of the country and each offer a unique experience. In Nova Scotia, there are many naval centers to enjoy, including places like Peggy’s Cove, Halifax harbor and Dartmouth. Prince Edward Island is a beautiful little island nestled in the Maritime Provinces. The view is something to behold in this great tourist destination for your vacation.

<i><b>Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut</b></i>

These three are the impressive territories of the north in Canada. The Yukon Territories are on the western end of the north and are attached to Alaska, which is part of the United States. Beside the Yukon Territories is the Northwest Territories, with Nunavut nestled underneath. There are many things to see and do in the territories, however many people do not consider these tourist destinations because of the intense cold that often envelops the area.

Throughout Canada, there is much to see and do. Vast spaces of land, farm land and wildlife preserves, from the Pacific to Atlantic oceans. You can also visit the Rocky Mountain Range to the flat western provinces; there are many things to enjoy throughout this wonderful country. A beautiful cat, the coat of the Canadian Lynx is thick and silvery brown with darkish markings that are often hard to spot in the dense fur. Neck is covered with a thick ruff of hair and ears, as with other lynx species, are tipped by long hair tufts. Tail is short like that of the Bobcat, though it is completely black – unlike that of the Bobcat whose tail is black on the upper and white on the lower surface. Hind legs are longer and paws are broad, aiding the cat to walk on snow.

A secretive and largely solitary feline, the Canadian Lynx is a diurnal hunter. A specialized predator in large parts of its range – the cat preys mostly on the snowshoe hare. In fact its population corresponds directly to the rise and fall of the hare population in its range. Other mid-sized animals are also taken including birds, small ungulates and rodents and scavenging is often observed in winter on left over deer and caribou carcasses.

Average lifespan of this cat is around fifteen years. After a gestation period of two months, mother gives birth to up to eight kittens – the number correlating to the abundance of prey animals at that point in time. The young stay with the mother until they can fend for themselves. Sexual maturity is reached at nearly two years.

The lynx is easily trapped and mainly hunted for its fur. It also suffers indirectly at the hand of hunters since its main prey animal – the rabbit – is widely killed for sport. Though not critically endangered yet, the loss of prey and habitat has led to the decline of the beautiful cat in many parts of its former range.

Mercado de divisas

El DOLAR nuevamente desarrolló un comercio mixto, y repuntó levemente contra el Cable, contra el  EURO no padeció grandes cambios, y mejoró contra el Loonie y el Swissy; el mercado de valores cayó, tras la mejora que había acontecido en Wall Street, por lo que el par USD/JPY estuvo bajo presión y registró nuevos mínimos. El par USD/JPY registró mínimos en la zona de los 92.70. Por otro lado, el Cable cayó al nivel de soporte en la zona de los 1.4750; registró mínimos en la zona de los 1.4663. Se observaron Estados soberanos interesados en la compra del Cable y de EUROS, tras los mínimos nocturnos registrados, lo que da a entender que esta tendencia continuará por cierto tiempo. El EURO registró mínimos en la zona de los 1.2605, y máximos en los 1.2743, lo que da a entender que el par se está consolidando. Operadores con estrategias agresivas podrían comprar EUROS por debajo de la zona de los 1.2600, a mi entender. El par USD/CHF rondó los 1.2130; el par continúa en la lucha por nuevos máximos, registró máximos en la zona de los 1.2137. Es de destacar que los volúmenes operados continúan bajos, sin embargo, el par continúa atrayendo inversores. El par USD/CAD también registró nuevos máximos en la zona de los 1.2572. Al parecer, ciertos problemas en el nuevo gobierno canadiense repercutirán en dicho par a corto plazo. A mi entender, los datos que se publicarán durante el día de hoy producirán gran volatilidad en la sesión comercial de New York. Si las principales divisas caerían debido a la volatilidad, aconsejaría comprar el Cable bajo los 1.4700 y el EURO en la zona de los 1.2600. Se aguardan con ansiedad las decisiones de las tasas de interés que tomarán tanto el Banco Central Europeo, como el Banco Central Inglés, pero a mi entender, estos eventos ya están digeridos por el mercado. Asimismo, las expectativas en cuanto al NFP para el viernes, no son de lo mejor. Se estima que el DOLAR caerá para el fin de la semana.

Forex Analisis
El par comenzó en baja en Asia por la noche, pero revirtió su tendencia en Europa. Se estima que habrá un recorte de las tasas de interés en 100 puntos básicos. Se observaron ofertas de Estados soberanos. El nivel de soporte se mantuvo en la zona de los 1.4650. Se mantuvo el control de las ventas sobre los 1.5100, pero será prudente aguardar un poco. Por la noche se observó un comercio técnico mientras los operadores definen estrategias a seguir.  Seguramente el BCI reducirá las tasas de interés, pero dicho factor ya está asimilado. La liquidez fue moderada.

El par logró mantener el nivel de soporte. Puede que el par padezca una reversión, pero el par debería estar firme en los 1.2850 a mi entender.  Se están colocando ofertas en los 1.2600 como se estimaba. Es aconsejable ir en largo. Se están colocando stops sobre los 1.2750, lo que impulsará un comercio en doble sentido. No considero que el par siga en baja. Varios operadores están tomando ganancias a pesar de la incertidumbre imperante.

Recuerdo que hace cuatro décadas, coincidiendo con el primer aniversario de la guerra de los “seis días”, el poeta francés Jacques Givet publicó un libro titulado ¿La izquierda contra Israel?. Militante socialista y ferviente sionista, el autor denunciaba a la vez que lamentaba la postura de los intelectuales galos, poco propensos, según él, a apoyar incondicionalmente la ocupación de los territorios árabes de Cisjordania, Gaza y Sinai por el ejército hebreo. Curiosamente, pocas voces críticas se alzaron en aquel entonces para rebatir los argumentos de Givet; el joven Estado judío aún no había celebrado el 20º aniversario de su creación.

Aquel extraño episodio volvió a mi mente hace unos días, al descubrir en la prensa anglosajona un artículo de Daniel Pipes dedicado a los 60 años de existencia del Estado de Israel. Conviene señalar que “míster” Pipes, conocido por su agresiva postura anti-árabe o, mejor dicho, anti islámica, se enorgullece de ser uno de los asesores del Presidente Bush para los temas de Oriente Medio.

Lo cierto es que el análisis socio-político-periodístico de Pipes no tiene desperdicio. El artículo empieza con una enumeración de peligros potenciales para la supervivencia del Estado judío, citando como ejemplo las armas de destrucción masiva, los ataques de los ejércitos convencionales, el terrorismo, la subversión interna, el bloqueo económico, la ofensiva demográfica de la población árabe y el desarme ideológico de la sociedad hebrea. A continuación, el articulista facilita un listado de “enemigos de Israel”, encabezado por… la Izquierda y los musulmanes. El tercer lugar lo ocupa la “irrelevante” derecha radical (léase racista).

Entre los principales “peligros” izquierdistas destacan: el lingüista norteamericano de origen judío, Noam Chomsky, acusado por los extremistas árabes de ser agente encubierto de Israel (sic), y la organización Internacional ANSWER. Siguen otras entidades, aparentemente menos radicales, aunque también peligrosas como la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, el Partido Liberal canadiense, los medios de comunicación centristas, las iglesias y los manuales escolares editados en Occidente. Pero hay más. Según Pipes, todas las fuerzas del mal antes mencionadas son simples juguetes manipulados por del principal artífice de la campaña antisionista: los musulmanes.

Al pasar revista a la postura de los vecinos del Estado judío, el asesor de Bush recuerda las campañas militares llevadas a cabo por los países árabes en 1948, 1956, 1967, 1970 y 1973 para llegar a la conclusión de que los dos únicos Estados que suponen actualmente un peligro para Israel son… Irán y Siria. Curiosa coincidencia con la postura oficial del Departamento de Estado, que no descarta un posible operativo bélico contra el país de los ayatolás antes del final del mandato de George W. Bush a la vez que se empecina en mantener a Siria en la ‘lista negra’ de los Estados que apoyen el terrorismo. Y ello pese al confesado deseo de las autoridades de Tel Aviv de sellar cuanto antes las paces con Damasco. Para Washington, Siria sigue siendo uno de los factores de inestabilidad en la región, uno de los artífices ¡ay! del antiamericanismo de los árabes.

El segundo grupo de enemigos de Israel lo encabezan los palestinos de la diáspora, que lideran, según Pipes, la corriente de opinión anti-israelí orquestada por la izquierda y los musulmanes. El consejero de Bush les atribuye la autoría, directa o indirecta, de los ataques terroristas o los disparos de misiles efectuados desde la Franja de Gaza contra el territorio israelí.

En tercer lugar se sitúan los árabes israelíes –unos 1,5 millones – que representan actualmente el 16 por ciento de la población del Estado. Estima el analista estadounidense que este ‘enemigo durmiente’ es el mayor detractor de la identidad y del carácter judíos del Estado, convirtiéndose en un auténtico peligro para el porvenir de Israel.

Daniel Pipes prefiere hacer caso omiso de las consideraciones de otra índole: ocupación militar, violación de los derechos humanos, tentación anexionista, radicalismo político o religioso, etc. Lo cierto es que al pasar revista a ‘su’ listado de peligros potenciales, es obvio que en el 60 aniversario de su creación, Israel cuenta con muchos, con demasiados enemigos. Ni que decir tiene que, en este caso concreto, la culpa no es sólo de Chomsky ni de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas.
